Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekends

Required Skills/Experience: Charge and Preceptor Experience, Circulate for C-section, LDRP, Antepartum/Intrapartum/Postpartum/Couplet Care proven, Previous Charge Experience

Required Skills/Experience: Triage, Proficient in sterile vaginal exams, Baby Friendly hospital experience highly, Community Hospital Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience

Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults

Unit Details: Number of Bed 10

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy, Maternal Substance Use Disorder, Gestational Diabetes, Limited or no prenatal care

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
