Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be willing to take charge when asked. Years of experience Req: Screen at 1.5 years. Skills: Med/Surg, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin, Insulin, PCA.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge experience preferred. Thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, Pneumonia, CVA, Hypoxia, Electrolyte imbalances, weakness, Hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, Renal Failure preferred. Skills: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Renal failure, Accessing/Managing Ports, Central line blood draw, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Free.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Req: Every Other. RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays. Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek.

Floating Requirements: Floating is 100% required of All Travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.
