Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 36 months of Psychiatric Unit experience within the past 12 months.

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend

Required Skills/Experience: A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

3+ years of experience in the acute behavioral health setting. Expertise in crisis stabilization including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Milieu management utilizing the therapeutic milieu model

Required Credentials: Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing

Preferred Credentials: Handle With Care

Floating Requirements: Float between the adult and geriatric behavioral health units.

Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: MDD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, SUD, Dementia
