Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Unit Details: ED Beds: 10, ED hall spaces: 7-10, Fast track 1:6 team nurse (LVP, NP)

Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates – Neonates – Geriatrics, 25% Peds

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Walk-in traumas, all types of patients ranging from cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, frequent drop off GSWs

Required Skills/Experience: Strong ED experience, strong customer service, ventilator class (BiPAP) will be provided during on boarding, knowledge of medication administration (mix own meds), chest tubes, central lines, strong IV skills

Required Credentials: Traveler Telemetry Competency Required, Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • NOC: 1500, 1700, 1900
  • Mids/Nights can start any time between 1100 and 1900

Floating Requirements:

  • All other OCEDS; CAP – will only float if resident is not there (i.e. sick, in class)
  • Mid shift floating (will pay for travel time)
