References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills required: Diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Assist with Central Line Insertion/management, Starting IVs, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions, Monitoring Procedural Sedation, Ventilator monitoring, PA lines -This unit accepts First-timers With Cath Lab, Interventional Vascular Lab or Interventional Radiology Experience IV therapy

Assist with Central Line Insertion/management Starting and maintaining IVs Work Settings

Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab Interventional Cardiac Cath lab Professional Knowledge and Skills Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias Isolation Precautions Monitoring Procedural Sedation Ventilator Management Additional Skills PA lines

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: CAD, PVD, Lung Cancer, Transplant, Prostate Cancer Special Procedures/Unit Details: Ambulatory procedures: Interventional Pulmonary, Bone Marrow Harvest procedures and Prostate Fiducial Radiation Oncology procedures, diagnostic cath, vascular procedures, and vascular intervention.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics
