Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

Vaccinations

Required Skills/Experience: -Previous Charge Experience: Required -Will work Charge as needed for this assignment -Will work Charge as needed for this assignment -Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Gastrointestinal, Starting and maintaining IVs, Medications, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Oxygen tanks, Isolation Precautions/PPE

-MS/Tele, Med/Surg. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Portable Oxygen tank. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience: -Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred -Preferred Skills: Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, Phlebotomy, PCA, Kidney Transplant, Urology/Nephrology.

Required Credentials: -You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit/Facility Details: -Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

Special Request -Open to accommodating block schedule? Will try but not guaranteed.

Shift & Scheduling: -Shift: 4x12 or 3x12 Nights (1845-0715) -Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
