Requirements

Experience

12 months of acute care experience.

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 6 months within the past 12 months.

Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

MSU - MS/Tele

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years’ experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.

Required Credentials: Associated degree in nursing

Nursys

Unit/Facility Details: This unit is a Multi-specialty unit. Primarily MS/Tele unit.

Special Requests: All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.

Shift & Scheduling: Holidays as required.

Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
