Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

RTO: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Open heart exp required.

• Cardiovascular, Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal defect repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Mitral valve replacement, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)

• Aseptic Technique, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, CVOR, Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies

Preferred Skills/Experience: Atherectomy, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Pericardial window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Isolation Precautions, Pressure Ulcer Prevention, Electrosurgical units

Required Credentials: No license hits are accepted. Hard Stop.

Special Requests: Could care for COVID patients. Travel Pairs are okay, but the client cannot guarantee matched schedules.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Alternating days off, 1-2 call days per week w/30-minute response required, every 3rd or 4th weekend, weekend is Friday 430pm until Monday 6am, & holidays as needed. Will consider a 4x10hrs or 3x12hr schedule for capable Surgical tech

• Call Requirement: On-call requirement with 30-min response time

• Holidays: as needed; will be expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO between Christmas and New Years
