Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Weekend requirements: Every other weekend

Float: yes, same level of care - Travelers float to med/surg and PCU units

Number of beds: 27; Beds 28

What ratios do they run: 1:4 PCU 1:5 med/surg its a mixed unit

Specific patient types/diagnoses - Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU; Level of care - PCU, Oncology and MedSurg

Oncology and PCU experience

Are RNs required to titrate drips: insulin occasionally Cardizem

Other needed competencies: Ventilator, other hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), ICP- all can train real time

Required certs: ONS/ONCC

RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
