Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Emergency Department experience is required from last 3 years.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

ER/MedSurg Inpatient

Every other weekend

Critical Access Hospital Experience - preferred

Float each day between med/surg, outpatient and emergency department

2 years experience ER and MedSurg.

RN works alongside another RN to care for med/surg, outpatient and emergency department patients. Our RNs perform typical RN procedures including but not limited to, IV starts, foley ca

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: This can vary based on census and if working charge nurse, They average 1:2 or 1:3 but no more than 1:6.

Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Critical Access Hospital experience preferred, but not required.

Shifts can be straight nights or a combination however it isn’t able to be rotating. No call required.

Orientation for travelers can be tailored to meet the needs with up to a week of orientation. They typically will work at least a day shift and a night shift to see how each shift functions.
