Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from last 12 months.

24 months of Operating Room experience is required from last 6 months.

Experience with Epic is required from last 6 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Orientation: Five 8-hour shifts.

Shift: Weekend Nights Fri, Sat, and Sun, Attending Friday morning huddle at 0645 

Float Requirement: Call rotation required

On Call/Callback Requirement: None 

Call rotation required

Holidays: (1) 24-hour call once per contract. Recognized holidays: New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and Christmas Day 

Staff Meeting: 4th week of every month 

Minimum Experience: Have worked in an operating room with all service lines for 2-3 years, comfortable with emergency situations

Required CURRENT Experience: General, Ortho, Joint, urology, endo, trauma, and robot (Davinci). Other cases include bariatrics, OBGYN, ENT, cataracts/retina, and c-section

Must have experience with cataracts/retinas, vascular (thrombectomy), C sections

Compliance is due 7 business days prior to start date

A weekend option employee (WOE) will limit PTO to one weekend per quarter with the exception of one spring/summer vacation and one fall winter vacation where 2 weekends in a row will be permitted in order for the WOE to have a full week off. For the purposes of time off, the weekend includes Saturday/Sunday only. WOE will be allowed to take Fridays and Mondays off above and beyond the weekend limit.
