Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum Nursery
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Must Have (RN who can take all phases of care from):
Triage Antepartum Labor Postpartum Neonatal care. Must be comfortable stabilizing babies Must have fetal monitoring cert
Graduate of School of Nursing
BSN/BA preferred
One-year labor experience required or completed extended orientation period, up to a year, meeting all expectations for no labor experience. A nurse with no labor experience can be hired by the Perinatal nurse manager based on current preceptor/orientation availability.
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal monitoring certification within 6 months of hire and ongoing.
Gnosis annual assessment of EFM principles within 3 months of hire and on-going
BFHI (Baby-Friendly) Lactation Education required or within 6 months of hire
