Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

All RNs (all specialties) must have NIHSS & EHAC within last 12 months. Certs can be obtained during onboarding.

If candidate resides in one of the restricted counties, they are not eligible for assignment. Restricted Counties-Delta, Franklin, Red River, Hopkins, Bowie, Morris, Titus, Cass, Camp, Rains, Upshur, Marion, Van Zandt, Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, and Panola.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills Required: MS/Tele, remote monitoring, Starting IV's, Skills Preferred: Cardiac telemetry, ER holding, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, heparin protocols, nasal cannula, portable oxygen tank

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: cardiac observation, post surgical observation

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac telemetry, ER holding, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, heparin protocols, nasal cannula, portable oxygen tank
