Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Preferred 12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Annual Skills Checklist is required for submission and can't expire during the expected contract dates.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Able to read and interpret fetal strips.
  • RNs required to titrate drips: Pitocin, insulin, magnesium

Types of Patients on Unit: Mix. Mainly obstetric/neonates, hypertension, GDM, try not to deliver anyone less than 36 weeks.

Unit Details:

  • L&D Beds: 15 total- 7 L&D, 8 Postpartum
  • OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1
  • Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips. 1:3 couplet care.

Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past 12 months.

Special Requests: We allow block scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend and Every other holiday.
  • Call or standby requirement: Depends on staffing.

Floating Requirements: MedSurg, ER. wherever in the hospital the nurse is needed - Perm staff is usually first to float.
