Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Common Cases: Open heart, CABG, Valve replacements, thoracic cases, vascular, open and endo vascular, AAA, IVC filters.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be well rounded with cardio and vascular. Must have open heart and endovascular experience.

1-2 years of experience highly preferred.

Prefer previous travel - Not required if great experience.

Vascular hybrid preferred.

Scrubbing required - RNs circulating required, scrubbing is a bonus - 1 circulator in vascular and 2 typically in opens.

Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45-5:15 or until the case is done, Occasionally stay late. No self scheduling. Variable day off.

Weeknight/Call Requirement: Depends, typically 1-2 week nights of call- 5pm-7am (2 Scrub Techs and a nurse)

Weekend/Call Requirement: Weekend can be 1 or 2 weekends a month.

Holiday Requirement: Need to be flexible to work holidays if needed.

Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement: Yes - perm staff typically take call first unless traveler request call.

Call response time: 30 min in OR dressed and ready to go

Floating Requirements: Main OR or within skillset
