Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Shift & Scheduling: : Every other weekend requirement for contract

Floating Requirements: may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors

Required Skills/Experience: -Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor.

Must have: EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills.

-Advanced skills needed: Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs
