Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 12 or Every Other
• Call Requirements: None.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP and PALS
• Float Requirements: As Needed.
• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: All ages
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Previous RT experience.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Ability to work with all age groups and to work alone if needed.
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Any respiratory issues.
• Required Education: Certification/Licensure required to work as an RRT in VA.
