Travel Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have worked perm for Nationwide for at least 2 years.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of CVPICU or PICU exp required- Hard stop requirement: 2 years experience in a pediatric hospital. Must have exp from a 30 bed or greater PICU. Manager will consider candidates with only PICU experience. Preference is for 2 years CVPICU exp. But will also take 2 years of PICU exp if meets all other requirements.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefers close to 2 year's experience.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Congenital heart disease Pre and post-surgical Heart Failure Heart and Lung transplants Pulmonary hypertension Special Procedures/Unit Details: ECMO- will not be responsible for running ECMO circuit Mechanical Support (VADs) CRRT - travelers will not be expected to care for these patients Ventilators- required RA lines Pacemaker wires chest tubes

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics.

Unit Details: Number of Beds: 20

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every Other.

Floating Requirements: Will float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas. Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.
