Travel Nurse (RN) - Infusion Center

RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply

RNs only: BSN is required.

3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period

2 yrs Oncology Nurse experience

Primarily working with Malignant Hematology, Leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma.

Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, hydration, etc.

Ability to triage basic oncology symptoms and issues related to oncology treatments.

Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.

Skills Required: Chemotherapy, Administration of chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, IV Therapy/ Infusions, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care Oncologic Emergencies, Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage, Sepsis, Spinal Cord Compression Professional Knowledge and Skills, Chest tube care and management, Neutropenic precautions, Symptom management, Altered mental status Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy

Prior Teaching Hospital Experience preferred

Travel Pairs: travel pairs are allowed, but generally will not be on the same unit. Married couples may not work on the same unit
