Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Labs must be completed within 48 hours of accepting an offer.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg. Skills: Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Med/Surg, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Isolation Precautions/PPE.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Tracheostomy care/management.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID. NIH - Acceptable certifications: AHA, Apex, and BlueCloud/AAMCE.

Special Requests: No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month.

Floating Requirements: Cook is a Mandatory Float Facility, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion. Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
