Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Skills Req: MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, IV insulin protocols, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Non-invasive airway management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Sheath Removal, Total Joint Replacements.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost – Free.

Special Requests: If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up. No travel partners accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S. Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.

Floating Requirements: Floating requirement: regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
