Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Required)

NRP (Required)

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Required)

Vaccinations

Guaranteed Hours 36

No self or block scheduling. Shifts assigned to meet unit needs.

Weekend and Holiday Requirement: As needed to cover the unit

Floating Requirements? To Post-partum, in rotation

Unit - L&D/PP/MB (Maternal Child Health):

L&D Beds 18 LDRP
OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? 2
Triage beds 2
Postpartum beds 18 LDRP + 8 overflow Postpartum
Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? AWHONN for labor and state ratio 1:4 for Postpartum
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience with vaginal exams, circulating c-sections

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common- titratable &/or set rate drips Pitocin and insulin

Scrub Color/Dress code Hospital provided scrubs
