Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
22 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Weekend Requirement: Depends on length of contract. Must be flexible working weekends.

On Call: None

Floating Requirement: To Mother Baby. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by. Though not always necessary, Travelers must agree to float between Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro.

Block Schedule: Per manager discretion.

Must have expert precepting skills.

Circulate and recover cesarean sections, PP d&c

NRP: Current certification issued by an acceptable agency - AAP, AHA or Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults

RTO:

-Aya Offer: < 7 Days

-Client Offer: > 7 Days

*Anything more than 7 Days will potentially delay your offer while we run approval by the client. To minimize turn around please limit total RTO requests. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD)

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission : Must disclose license/BG hits up front at time of submission. No open license hits will be approved.

Return Staff Policy: can return after 3 months.

Providence requires 2 Supervisory References covering 1 year within last 3 years (6 months for CNAs) during the compliance process and prior to start. Can include Charge RNs / Leads.
