Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Hematology/Oncology Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Montana license or compact license

Additional Details:

Shift & Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm or 4x9s with one weekday off

Holiday Coverage: Yes

The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Required Skill / Experience: One (1) year of direct patient care experience

Preferred Skill / Experience: Three (3) years of direct patient care experience

Patient Types: The Oncology Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in providing care to patients diagnosed with hematologic or oncologic malignancies.

The Oncology RN acts the primary point of contact and advocate for cancer patients throughout the care continuum.

Exposures (Continuously): Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.

Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed.

Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.

Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
