Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license

Must be willing to fulfill a full 13 week contract.

Required Skills/Experience: PCU and Telemetry experience. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Feeding tube care and management, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience, Previous Charge Experience. Skills: Breast reconstruction with implants, Breast reconstruction with tram flap, Mastectomy, Skin grafts, Surgical drains, Heparin Protocols, Wound Care/Wound Vac, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips

Required Credentials: License Hits: University of Kentucky Will Not accept any licensure hits. Cert: NIH - AHA, American Stroke Association, NIHSS, Apex Innovations or AACME, BLS, ACLS - RQI accepted.

Special Requests: If you want to take 4-7 days off, you must be willing to make up that time. You must fulfill the full 13 week contract. Any RTO should be provided at time of submission to be considered.

Shift & Scheduling: Candidates should expect to work 2-3 of the 4 Summer Holidays (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, and Labor Day). Weekend coverage required.

Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by.
