Travel Nurse (RN) - Neurologic Intensive Care Unit

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases. Travelers will be first to float.

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients

Performs other duties as assigned

Required:

Good verbal and written communication skills

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program

Fast paced Neuro ICU at Comprehensive Stroke Center

Every Other Weekend - Required

Holidays - Per Policy

Unit has various levels of acuity

Patient Ratio: ICU - 1/2, 1/1 for Post thrombectomy patients or extremely unstable patients

A lot of EVD’s and drains on the unit

Patient population primarily consists of Strokes (Ischemic and Hemorrhagic), and post operative Neurosurgical patients

They have a variety of other Neuro diagnoses such as CNS infections, they just make up a much smaller portion of patients
