Requirements
Experience
24 months of acute care experience.
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 3 years.
Experience with Epic is required from last 12 months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Accepting 1 year of LEVEL III, in lieu of 2 full years of LEVEL IV (so as long as they have 1 full year of LEVEL IV)

Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents management, various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation.

Must have 1 year level IV exp. and total of at least 2 years of NICU

Skills: UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Anti-Seizure Medications, Antibiotics/Antivirals, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Seizure disorders, Blood glucose monitoring, Hyperbilirubinemia, Phototherapy, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Invasive Hemodynamic monitoring, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen Delivery Systems, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care/management, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), Isolation Precautions, Neonatal Sepsis, Sepsis Work Up, NICU III, NICU IV, Neonates > 34 weeks, Neonates 29-34 weeks, Patient/family teaching, Phlebotomy, Level IV exp. hard stop.

Skills: Administration of blood & blood products, Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting and maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors, Neonatal Dosage Calculations, Steroids, Surfactants, Assist with lumbar puncture, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket), Ventricular Peritoneal (VP) Shunts, Insulin administration, Colostomy/Ileostomy care, Gastroschisis/Omphalocele, Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, Post Abdominal Surgery, Developmental Care, Thermoregulation, Post cardiac surgery, Post interventional cardiac catheterization, Pre-Cardiac Surgery, High Frequency Ventilation, Meconium Aspiration, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oscillators, Respiratory distress syndrome, Vapotherm, Neonates $< 24\text{-}28$ weeks.

Required Credentials: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Government issued photo ID.

Unit/Facility Details: Will accept 4x12s and 26 weeks

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Shift & Scheduling: Night (19:00 - 07:30); Day (07:00 - 19:30)

Monday through Friday and required to work 2-3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period.

Floating Requirements: Will float to care for patients less than 12 months of age. All AFCH units including PICU. Travelers to float 1st.
