Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Additional Details:

RNs Only: Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

Sterile Processing Tech only: Must have experience at a similar sized hospital (minimum 400 bed size)

Surgical Technologist only: Must have Level 1 experience or comparable Level 2 experience (in a larger city/large bed size)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous Float experience.

• Chest tubes

• Tubes

• Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone

• Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients

• Trachs/Laryngectomies

• Telemetry

• Complex wounds

• Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Night Rotation – 36 hours per week.

Floating Requirements:

• The MedSurg Staffing Resource Team (SRT) will float between all MedSurg units as needed. Travelers will be working ED and PACU borders. In addition, Deceased Patient Coordinator (DPC) coverage may be required.

Float units include –

• 1 East

• 1 West

• 2 West

• 2&3 East

• 3 West

• 4 West

• 5 West

• ED

• PACU
