Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.

Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.

OB - Required

Shift & Schedule: Weekend hours, some call if needed but not mandated

When/if floated would include patient sitting and tasking RN duties, no patient assignments on other units

Skills Required / Experience: Ideally crossed trained in all 3 areas of OB (labor/delivery, postpartum, nursery).

C-sections occur on this unit with assistance from our surgical team.

Breastfeeding education and assistance for our patients

Preferred Skills / Experience: Knowledge of sterile technique and experience as circulating nurse/surgical assist would be beneficial.

Unit Detail: 4 labor, 5 PP

Patient Ratio: Postpartum - 1/3-4, Labor - 1/1

Orientation: Would be beneficial to complete our program for surgical scrub/assist due to limited surgical resources on 3rd shift
