Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New York license
Certifications

Additional Details:

Patient Population: Primarily adults; pediatric patients seen monthly for ENT surgery blocks

Nurse to Patient Ratio: Phase I: o 1:1 for unstable patients or children under 8 without support at bedside o 1:2 for stable patients  Phase II: o 1:1 for unstable patients or children under 8 without support o 1:2 for children under 8 with support o 1:3 for stable patients

Float Expectations: Nurses are expected to float between ASU (Ambulatory Surgery Unit) and PACU

Sedation Recovery: Yes – nurses recover patients receiving moderate sedation or monitored anesthesia care (MAC)

Call Requirements: Yes – approximately once per week (response time per facility guidelines)
