First to Float
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.

Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend day shift per 28 day schedule
Holidays: negotiable based on timeframe of the contract, likely 1-2 holidays
Scrub Color/Uniform: Burgundy Polo + Dark professional pants. Polo(s) will be provided by the facility. Travelers provide pants.
Outpatient and Inpatient? Inpatient. This assignment is in the Acute Rehab Unit (IRF). High potential that the traveler will be cross trained to float to the main inpatient hospital and expected to float if the need arises. Primary assignment is Acute Rehab Unit (IRF). There is no Outpatient on this campus.
What areas are they required to cover?: Primarily Acute Rehab Unit (IRF). When floating to inpatient, units include: ASU, PCU, Neuro, MedTele, CIU, Oncology, specialty ICUs.
Floor specific orientation: Traveler will be paired with a preceptor for general orientation to MGH and will orient to each specific floor before being cleared.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Adults only. Primarily neuro diagnosis on ARU: Stroke, TBI, SCI, complex neuro, debility. When floating to inpatient: Cardiac (Open heart surgery, TAVR, LVAD), Neuro, Surgical, General Medicine, Oncology.
Additional Notes: MGH OT department consists of Acute Rehab (IRF) and Inpatient professionals who float interchangeably and provide high quality, evidence based care. MGH OT department has grown exponentially over the past 10 years due to impressive outcomes and professional services provided by our OT staff. This assignment is to cover for a Medical LOA on Acute Rehab. We are looking for a candidate with Acute Rehab (IRF) experience, confidence in providing both assessment and and treatment for ADL & IADLS, and a candidate who is able to float to the inpatient units when needed. This OT Traveler will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate, evidence based, excellence driven clinicians to provide high quality OT services in the East Sacramento neighborhood.
