Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Neurologic Intensive Care Unit experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from the last 3 years

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have EVD experience. Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience. 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+).

Required Credentials: Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts., if failed, will be DNU with CS AZ and Sac Region for 6 months. Pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation. Day 1 pass fail SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion.

Special Requests: Travel Teams must have their own vehicles.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements: Required to float between all ICU floors, and all Tele Units. Will get a patient load of 4:1 on tele. 1st to float. Can be float to MS Tele/ Tele floors.
