Patient Types: MAP Unit – Medical and Pediatrics (Medical and Pediatrics – travelers do not take Peds patients).
The major conditions/most frequent diagnoses treated: Adults - respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions (such as seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
Patient Ratio: Days - 1/4-5, Nights - 1/6-7
Dress Code: Scrubs - Any Color
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
