Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols, Work Settings, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Genitourinary/Renal, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, LTAC Experience, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend coverage required - Unit will direct weekend coverage based upon operational needs
