Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required from last 4 years.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Guaranteed Hours 36

Shifts: 7a-7:30pm, 7pm-7:30am

Weekend Requirement: Every other

Holidays: one major and one minor (2 out of 3 in holiday season)

Floating: Must float to 6E & 6W, also ICU if they have a critical care background, also MedSurg

Beds: 9 East - 32 beds

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: post Cath, day 3 post CABG, pacers, OB patients that are not ready to deliver and need to be monitored more closely - nurse will only have to take care of mother, CHF, GI bleeds, DM, homeless, malnourished, skin issues, trauma, co-morbidities, altered mental status, SI patients that need to be cleared, MVC, head trauma, gunshot wounds, stabbings
