Requirements

Experience

36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required from the last 4 years.

6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from the last 3 years

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience:

Must have general medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience for this unit.
Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within past 6 months

Required Credentials: All MyJourney modules need to be completed prior to arrival. Traveler will be pushed back if all modules are not completed. No exceptions

Types of Patients on Unit: TAVR, Impella, IABP, recovering fresh hearts immediate from the OR, Lumbar drains, Swanz, manual hemo experience preferred. STEMI, AAA, Hypothermia, sepsis, any MedSurg ICU patient, but more focused on CV & CT patients. No CRRT.

Unit Details: 10 beds

Special Requests: Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but if it works with schedule they will allow it.

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; however it could be more based on the needs of the unit, however this would be rare if it was more that every other.
Holidays: 2 out 3 for major holidays (winter holidays) other holidays are as needed & would fall into perm staff rotation.

Floating Requirements: Only floating would be to the other ICUs or to ER for inpatient ICU holds - first to float.
