Travel Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have worked perm for Nationwide for at least 2 years

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience.

2 years experience in a pediatric hospital.

Must have experience from a 30 bed or greater PICU

Preferred Skills/Experience: Close to 2 year's experience

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

Patient Diagnoses:

-Congenital heart disease

-Pre and post-surgical

-Heart Failure

-Heart and Lung transplants

-Pulmonary hypertension

Special Procedures:

-CMO- will not be responsible for running ECMO circuit

-Mechanical Support (VADs)

-CRRT - travelers will not be expected to care for these patients

-Ventilators- required

-RA lines

-Pacemaker wires

-Chest tubes

Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds - 20

Special Requests: Block Schedules - No

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage - Every Other

Floating Requirements: Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.

-Floating is required for most positions.

-Will float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas.
