No block scheduling.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 4 major holidays
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts., if failed, will be DNU with CS AZ and Sac Region for 6 months
Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
Pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation
Day 1 pass fail SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion.
RN with strong MedSurg experience required. Rehab experience preferred.
Floating: Yes, any MedSurg unit.
Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 90% neuro population, low stimulation area, TBI, brain tumor resection, CVA, lung transplant, liver transplant.
Additional Notes: Busy times 6-9a, 630-9p. Interdisciplinary team rounds. 5/7 days, 3hrs per day therapy. Average LOS 19-21 days.
Additional Questions: Nurses need to be comfortable with high level of communication and personal involvement with patients and family. Partnership of care. Acute MedSurg care (IV therapy, wounds, etc.)
