Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
BSN completion preferred
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

  • Large orthopedic program (total joints), colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, bariatric surgery.
  • IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Genitourinary/Renal, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Plastics, Mastectomy, Surgical drains, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Telemetry, and Professional Topics and Skills, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Required Credentials:

  • Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

Unit/Facility Details:

  • Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Special Requests:

  • Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
  • RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. Please ensure all RTO is for the full 13 weeks for each submittal No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend coverage required.
  • Weekend Coverage: Every Other
  • Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 6 in 6 weeks

Floating Requirements:

  • Float required within skillset.
