Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Skills checklist must be completed within the last 6 months for Application. Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs). If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Strong Oncology background and Phlebotomy skills

Must be able to read and interpret strips

Holiday Requirement: 3 out of 4 holidays

6 weekend shifts within a 6 week schedule

MONC can take up to a 1/5 and even a 1/6 ratio if need be

Self Scheduling

Primary Population: Primarily adult patients with hematologic or oncologic concerns, immunocompromised, radiation complications, cardiac arrhythmia, complex fluid and medication management, and single and/or multi-system complications

All time off must be negotiated prior to confirmation

Nursing staff analyze cardiac rhythms on their patients; unit is not monitored by monitor techs

Skills that will be utilized are administering chemotherapy, continuous infusion medication management, pain management, wound vac. dressing changes, wound drains, central lines, tracheotomy patients, chest tubes, IV start skills, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, various intravenous drips i.e. cardiac, insulin, heparin, and cardiac monitoring

EKG exam & Pharm exam - must pass during compliance process
