Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Onc / PCU Exp

Day/Night or Nights

Minimum 2 + years of high acuity PCU level or higher required

Oncology experience preferred but not required

Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including:

• BMT

• Acute Leukemia

• Hematology

• Medical Oncology

• PCU Oncology

• Gynecological Oncology

• Urology

• Colorectal

• Surgical Oncology

• Corrections Healthcare

Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Patient Ratio: 1/3, can be 1/4 with mixed acuity

Weekends: Variable based on unit needs

No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff

Self-schedule requests - You will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule

First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Five shifts of bedside orientation b/t weeks 2 and 3, then independent

RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
