Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Every other weekend and every other holiday

Dysrhythmia exam required at orientation (study guide available)

Patients requiring a higher level of care will be transferred to an appropriate facility. Basic ED patient care is not limited to IV insertion, blood draws, obtaining blood cultures, bladder scanning, In/Out catheter, wound care, laceration and wound repair, minor orthopedic care, diabetics/cardiac patients- care until discharge or transfer.
