Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Nurse Educator experience.
BSN completion required
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a District of Columbia license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Required)
CNOR (Preferred)

Required Skills / Experience: Progressive Leadership

Required Skills: Demonstrate effective teaching and presentation skills, Promote improvement in nursing education and practice, Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students, Universal precautions, Workplace safety requirements, Inpatient Acute Care, Surgical Services, Vents, PCA

General Skills: Inpatient Acute Care, Surgical Services, Vents , PCA ,Scrub and wound vacs

Preferred Skills / Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

Preferred Skills: Assesses the educational needs and performance gaps, Facilitate personalized instruction to address individual learner needs, Promote experiential learning, Provide clinical supervision for learners

Unit / Facility Details: Will cover Peri Op areas

Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday - Friday

Weekend Requirement: Emergency only
