Experience

24 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

36 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 3 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Seasonal Flu Vaccine is required if working during flu season (September 15-April 30th).

Must be fully vaccinated (exemptions are reviewed on a very limited basis).

No Block Scheduling for any Travelers at Salem.

MICU

Every Other Weekend

2yrs. of continuous MICU experience required

Must Be Able To Read Tele Strips

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with Med Surg Floating required

We care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnosis such as Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock. Attendings and Residents are present in the ICU 24 hours/day.

Telemetry competency required

Day rotators may be rotated between (7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a) shifts when needed. Night shift does not rotate.

RN to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when Floated to other Med/Surg areas.

ACLS, BLS, must be AHA, Red Cross CHSF or Military

Influenza Vaccine is optional

2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably a MICU.

Floating Required: Yes, (mostly Medical/Surgical Units, could be up to 4 or 5 patients).
