Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
BSN completion preferred
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: -Note: ICU experience; code management required -***may be only critical care nurse in hospital, must be competent with codes (runs codes) -Required Skills: IV therapy (Ports, Blood products, Central/PICC management, IV starts), Respiratory (Care of ventilated patient, ABG interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP), Medications (Continuous sedation, Titrating Cardiac/Vasoactive drips), Professional Skills (Infection prevention, Phlebotomy), Cardiac Monitoring (Dysrhythmia interpretation/management), IV insulin protocols, Code management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: -Preferred Skills: Arterial line management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ETT/NT Suctioning, Ventilator Management.

Required Credentials: -No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: -Weekend REQ: As needed

Floating Requirements: -Will float to ED or med surg depending on experience as needed. Will be asked to support on the floors as a tasker including possibly a sitter or PCT role. -Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by
