Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 4 years.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips.

Types of Patients on Unit: CVA TPA, AAA, MI (Cath lab only for diagnostics - No interventions done at this facility), Hypertension, Overdose, ETOH, Detoxing Precedex. Whipples, GI bleed, ECOS, External temporary pacers, A-fib RVR, Septic shock.

Ratios: 1:2 1:1 acuity IMCU Days 1:3 Nights 1:4

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend and Holiday: Every other

Floating Requirements: Floating to tele or IMCU could be a 1:5 ratio
