Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 10 months of Rehabilitation Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Required Skills and Experience: Please note that Lovelace Health System does expect that RN’s can start their own IV’s. Please ensure that any RN’s submitted have this skill set. Acute Inpatient rehab, Administration of blood & blood products, Care and management of ports, Starting and maintaining IVs, Venous blood draws, Angina, Hypertension, Post cardiac surgery, Post MI, Post Vascular Surgery, Anticoagulants, Antiseizure, Diuretics, Assistive Devices, Mobilization Techniques, Prosthesis application, Pulse/CMS checks, Suture/ staple removal, Total Joint Replacements, Blood glucose monitoring, Insulin protocols, Care of Ventilated Patient, COVID, Incentive Spirometry, Oral /Nasotracheal suctioning, Pulse Oximetry, Supplemental oxygen delivery, Tracheostomy care/management, Chronic renal failure/dialysis, Foley catheter removal, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Neuromuscular disease, Parkinson’s disease, Post Craniotomy, Seizure disorders, Spinal cord injury, Stroke scale assessment, Traumatic Brain injury, Diabetic Teaching, Fall Risk Assessment/Prevention, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions, Lift/transfer devices, National Patient Safety Goals/Core Measures, Pain Assessment Management, Patient Teaching, Pressure Ulcer Assessment/Prevention, Restraints, Specialty beds, Wound care, Feeding devices/adaptive equipment, Feeding tube care and management, NG tube insertion/ management, PEG Tube feeding and management, Swallowing precautions, Thickened liquids.

Preferred Skills and Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience. LTAC Experience.

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID. BLS must be AHA, RQI, ARC, or American Safety and Health Institute.

Shift & Scheduling Requirements: Option of 36 or 48hrs. Every other weekend coverage.
