Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Pediatric Psychiatric Unit experience.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing required

De-escalation experience, experience with physical restraints (chemical restraints are NOT used), medication passes, comfortability to run groups, documentation

Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric BH exp preferred – send to manager for approval if candidate does not have Peds experience

Required Credentials: License should not expire within 45 days following start date.

Unit/Facility Details: Free Parking

Special Requests: Traveler may have the opportunity to act as Charge, but this is not required

Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend - Sat/Sun; No call; Expected to work holidays in rotation

Floating Requirements: Between all units – Adults and Peds

If traveler is not comfortable with floating to Peds – please request manager approval to offer
