Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from the last 4 years.

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Required Credentials: Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as scheduled. May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation.

Types of Patients on Unit: Pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, Alcohol w/d, falls/weakness

Required Skills/Experience: RNs required to titrate drips- No cardiac drip titration.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Vitals, BGM's, EKG's, apply heart monitor, bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and positioning

Floating Requirements: Floating and shift pull rotation. May be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or IMC for lower acuity pts on the floor
