Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

CVICU/ICU

Preferred Skills/Experience: open heart training preferred.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: CICU: Post-op CABG post-op AVR, MVR, post-op vascular and endovascular surgery, post cardiac interventional service including ECMO, heart failure requiring Impella device support, angioplasty and stent placement.

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient population - Adult, Geriatric

Equipment Used on Unit: Impella, Balloon pump and ECMO/Tandem Heart, Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, extensive amount of safe-patient handling equipment.

Unit/Facility Details: • Number of Beds: 20 - 8 beds are CICU & 12 beds are Step-Down • Patient Ratios: Intermediate care level patients are 1:3 and critical care are 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling: • Weekend Hours: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block • Call Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: Must be flexible to float where need, could include ICU, MS, Tele & ER.
